Lets see your exhaust tips.

I searched and didn't find much so here goes. I'm looking to dress up the exhaust tip on my truck. I'm leaning towards a black powder coated one but I havent rulled out chrome. Thanks ahead for your time.

From a quick search on the net I dont see many choices for a 3" inlet.

I too was thinking about getting a matte black exhaust tip, so I would also like to see if anyone was rocking one.

Thanks.

Yeah, I searched ebay thanks. I just prefer to see them installed on a vehicle to get a better look and judge sizes a little. Im thinking I 'd want a 3" inlet and a 5" outlet maybe 12"-16" in length. Not sure of the angle cut end or just a square end cut with a rolled edge. To me, the 3" pipe looks a little dinky with the scale of the truck.

I agree. Mine has 3 1/2" tips and its ugly. I'm gonna be jumping to a single 4" or 5" tip soon

IMHO, the 4" is perfect for these V10 trucks. I have a 4" polished, single wall, angle cut tip made by Gibson. I've had it on for almost 6 years and it still looks great. I'll try to post up a pic after the snow melts and I cant get her cleaned up a bit. Anything smaller looks too dinky on these big trucks, while the 5" looks too big and goofy. I see the 5" all the time around here - they are really popular on diesels - especially with the younger crowd. Maybe I'm just gettin too old. Ha ha! Just my 2 cents....

I'll have to check that tip out. Sounds like what I want. Probably gonna exit in front of rear tire. Seen a few gibson kits like that

I cut mine after the bend over the rear axle even with the bottom of the spare tire.
I prefer the nice clean look of no exhaust tips hanging down below the body.

I have the 2.5" in/3.5" out slash cut stainless tips that came with my gibson dual exhaust, they look awesome, but are impossible to keep clean. any road grime just sticks to them, polishing helps a little but doesnt last long

Yeah I figured. My truck is a pavement pounder but she's not always shined up if you know what I mean. That's why I was leaning towards the black tips, but I havent ruled chrome out either. Just not sure if I want to battle the road grime. Thats partially why I got black wheels.

black will do better I can never keep our chrome tip clean. I just gave our truck a truck wash and nothing cleaned it up really well but we also live on a back road so..... Only reason I don't like black is on our truck I don't like to much black nor to much chrome thats the way I am.
