plugs and timming

getting the last hand full of parts for my upgrade
97 460 efi

i have msd coil cap rotor ford racing wires

what plugs do i need - motor craft platnum or coppers?
what gap?

cant i just put a timming light on and give a couple deg bump to tdc

That ignition system was never designed to run anything but copper plugs. Also to adjust the timing you will need to remove the 'spout' connecter (a jumper in a wire coming off of the ignition module on the fender) then you can attach a timing light and adjust.
