Under Air Cleaner Housing Gasket?
Hey Guys...I had my air cleaner or air filter housing off today to change the filter and clean it up. I noticed and never really thought about until now, but is there supposed to be a rubber gasket that fits over the intake that the housing sits on to seal the bottom?
It seems there is supposed to be one because without one I have metal to metal contact. Surely that won't keep dirty air out. Anyway...if anybody knows a part number or something about it please let me know.
Thanks

Thanks for the help folks,
I bought the Felpro for temporary use until I order O-rings from ORings Inc.
https://www.oringsusa.com/catalog/index.php
Here's what I found.
It looks like the Felpro has 5-1/32 ID
Orings Inc has a "automotive lube" o-ring which measures 5 X 5 3/8 X 3/16
or 5 X 5 1/2 X 1/4.
I'm thinking the o-ring might stretch which should be ok. And I'm kinda wondering about the .5 inch ID/OD seating properly on the shelf as well.
But at $0.53 per ring plus some shipping I figure it's worth a try
Orings Inc also has the same o-ring dimensions in the "jet fuel" category as well
I figure I'll get a couple different types and sizes an check them out

Only problem I see is those are round O-rings, not the square-cut style like the factory one, so I wonder if it would stay in the channel in the bottom of the aircleaner.

replacement o rings
It is possible to make up an o ring with a section of neoprene that is suitable, cut to length on a long scarf (taper ) where the angle cut on both ends match in opposite. (Length of taper 4:1 minimum per diameter ie 5/32 diameter, 5/8 inch taper length) bond with Loctite or super glue. Can clean the groove and tack glue it in also. Shortening a bigger o ring is an option this way
