Unhappy 99 tranny problem

hi guys, i'm new here. yesterday i was heading down the interstate with my 99 f250 with a v10, 125,000 with no problems. i was hauling my lawn mower on a little trailer. when i got off the ramp i made a right turn and went up a hill 500 to the next stop sign. at that stop sign we i tried to proceed my truck wouldnt go. it didnt feel like any slipping, i had no drive, 2nd, or 1st. when you shift its like nothing was happening at all. but it would back back up. i backed it on the roll back. when i got it home i checked all the fuses dealing with the tranny. they were good. i also checked the fluid which looks new and doesnt smell burnt. i had it serviced 6 months ago and the old fluid looked good coming out. i pulled the plug of of the tranny and checked the connection and it looked good. i have never had a transmission go out, but i thought there would be some kind of warning. anyone have any thoughts? i wasnt planning on a new truck for christmas. thanks!

Often there is no warning at all. Something mechanical breaks inside the trans and it doesn't send notice that it is going to break. It isn't anything electrical, and it isn't the fluid. The trans needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Sorry.
