96 F150 projector headlight question

First off I'm a newbie so hello to everyone. Check out the pics below of my baby. She's a 96 F150 with the stock 5.0 V8 engine the only mod done is adding a cold air intake. Engine has 135,000 miles on it and runs like a champ. Single chamber muffler, remote start alarm system, 12" Kicker sub, 3000 watt amp, Epicenter for more bass, Infinity Kappa 6" x 9" speakers all around. Has a custom paint job so I wash and wax religiously! Any questions or comments, good or bad are welcomed.

Right now I have the chrome euro headlights with the chrome bezels around them but have been considering switching to projectors for some time now. The projectors shows are the ones I'm interested in, but they have the black bezels around them. This is probably a stupid question but does anyone know if they can be removed so I can use the chrome ones instead? Better yet does anyone have these on there truck that can give me some feedback on them?

Welcome to the forums.

Can't help you with the lights, likely they are molded/glued together so might not be able to change it.

They don't make those with a chrome trim. And the trim is part of the assembly. Can't be swapped out. Trust me, I looked with no success. Look up a projector conversion for these trucks. I know a user on here did a full write up on how to do it for the same price as those assembly's. Can't remember the name of the user. I have it bookmarked on my computer. I'll post it when I get home.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm thinking the black bezels could probably be removed with a heat gun but that would be a pain to do. I'll just hold off for now since I don't like the other projector headlights available with the turn signal above the headlight. Anyone else disappointed at there not being more headlights or any true led tail lights for our trucks?

This is only a suggestion but they make chrome paint that you could paint it. But not quit sure how it would look. I was just looking at those same one's for my 250.

No not anytime soon, I was actually considering going bigger a few months ago to 26" rims but I bought these brand new maybe a year and a half ago so it would be a waste. Too bad I don't have the original wheels either, the guy I bought the truck from got rid of them and put on some 16's with 265-75-16 tires for a little beefier look.

Yeah I've tried the chrome paint out before and wasn't impressed. I tried spray painting the covers to the rear license plate lights before realizing they sold chrome covers on ebay. I sprayed them three times with the paint and let it dry, then applied a clear coat but I wasn't satisfied with how they turned out. At first they were shiny, not 100% chrome which I was expecting but they had a nice gloss to them. After about 6 months they faded and looked like a dull silver.

Those black bezels cant be changed out. They are Part of the housing. Here is that conversion I was talking about. I plan on doing it once I sort out my last few maintenance items.

I wish I could take advantage of that. Got too many other things that need to be done first.
