2003 ranger camshaft sensor

My dad was working on my truck and he adjusted something that made my Check engine light come on for my camshaft positioning sensor. I know he adjusted something under the cover that's on the top where the air intake is. Any ideas on what it is he adjusted and how it could be fixed.

You should ask him what he did.
