Rather than futzing with the pedals .....

Why not just adjust the seat and steering wheel/column back?

Steering column can be moved toward driver?

I also think the proportions are all wrong. Pedals are too close and steering wheel too far away. I have adjustable pedals and it is pointless because you can't make the pedals further away from you, just closer. Ford uses long arm, short legged monkeys for test fits. Must have been a 6 Sigma cost reduction idea.

Yeah, actually I know what you mean. I find my comfort point for my legs a lot different from my arms. When my legs are comfy, my arms are stretched out almost straight. But, like many other things on the F150, I just deal with it. It's the little things ain't it?

QwkTrip - Steering column can be moved toward driver?
Exerpted from the 2011 F-150 owner's manual (starting at page # 96) .....

TILT OR TILT/TELESCOPE STEERING COLUMN
To adjust the steering column:
1. Pull the lever down to unlock the steering column.
2. Adjust the steering wheel up or down.
3. If also equipped with the telescope feature, adjust the steering wheel in or out.
4. While holding the steering wheel in place, pull the lever up to its original position to lock the steering column. .....
Don't have an owner's manual?

Owner Manuals ««« -click-
» [ Choose Year ] » [ Choose Make ] » [ Choose Model ] »

... I have adjustable pedals and it is pointless because you can't make the pedals further away from you, just closer.
If they adjust closer you're saying that you can't adjust them in the opposite direction?

Exerpted from the 2011 F-150 owner's manual (starting at page # 110) .....
... Press and hold the front of the control to adjust the pedals away from you.
... Ford uses ... short legged monkeys for test fits.
Have you tried moving the seat back? According to independent ratings, the F-150 is rated #1 in front passenger room in its category. *41.4" - 1st row leg room (2011 F-150 sales brochure page # 35).

the gas pedal and brake pedal are on a swingarm and the whole attachment can be moved manually. by taking out some pins the whole assembly can be moved forward or backward. i was just wondering if anyone had any experience doing this? if not i will take it back to the dealership and get them to do it

I'm talking about the normal tilt steering wheel. Obviously I wouldn't be asking if I had the telescoping column.

I wouldn't move the brake pedal closer to the floor than the OEM setting. If you need a change for you particular abilities see a pro who specializes in fitting a rig up for special people. Then you have a guarantee it is done right. Maybe tip the back of the seat up slightly, or the front back some.
