Door Pieces Required

Hi guys I am looking to raise the rear portion of the door on a 55 F100 so that it would be level. I guess it would be like un chopping a truck. I need a couple of inches of the rear vertical part of the door. I will pay shipping as well as buy the pieces from anyone that may have them

Thanx in advance

Curious why you'd want to do that? Are you an NBA player or something?

Wow! that will be a tremendous amount of work for the result. Why not angle chop the front if you are short. Raising the rear will give the truck a cartoonish phone booth look IMHO. Maybe someone can photoshop the effect for you?

Isn't it the roofline that slants back? The door appears to be almost level.

My plan is to slice the door opening at the rear and make it level then raise the back of the door I think the difference is about 1 inch lower at the rear and I have the seats so my eyes are centered in the windshield, I build for a cars for a living and this truck has everything else modified anyway and I don`t think this has ever been done before so that makes it more interesting

When you get it done post some pictures. I'd be interested to see how it likes.

The door and window opening on a 53-55 is 1/2 to 3/4 lower at the rear with reference the the front and I plan to raise the rear of the door rather than lower [chop] the the top. I have always hated the top of the door being lower at the rear

I have noticed this slant as well...I guess I never really thought too much about changing it, I just went with a 56 and that solved the problem. Many folks who have chopped the top on a 53-55 cab fixed this angled side window issue, but I have never seen anyone realign the door/drip rail without doing a chop. Here's a pic for those who need something to better visualize what is being discussed...

Now I understand, I can see what your saying. I'm not that familiar with the 53 to 55's. Now you have me going out to look at my 49.
