Coil spring advice
i have a 2004 explorer XLT 4 X 4.
Due to worn out tires caused by sloppy suspension parts, i have replaced lower ball joints ( factory) and upper control arms and one upper ball joint, and 2 new front tires with an alignment.
i have purchased 2 KYB front shocks and an working on purchasing the insulators, bushing kits, upper mounts etc.
Looking at the MOOG catalog, i have two types of springs to choose from- constant rate and variable rate.
can anyone advise on the advantages of either type of spring, benefits, drawbacks, etc? also make a recommendation on what type is better based on the fact the the truck is used mostly on stop and go traffic, with some long distance highway travel.
