While it's not a truck, it is powered by this family of engines.

The Taurus SHO in my sig is being picked up tomorrow from the dealer

That is, if the wife doesn't murder me first

One test drive so far, but it has lived up to my expectations

Pretty smooth ride for an SHO with the Performance Package, and pushing down the go-pedal one inch or even less was a thrill that I haven't experienced in a LONG time

Art, congrats my friend. I think you'll be thrilled with each and every drive.

That black looks like it would be a great police interceptor package!

Art, congrats on the new ride. Those cars are sweet and my county sheriff's department has recently put 5 of the interceoptor version in service. Talking with one of the deputys that I know, he said that they are fast

To be honest, it will be the fastest car I've ever owned. Which is a good thing, actually. If I had owned something this fast back in my 20's, I probably wouldn't be here now

That's funny my friend. My wife's uncle owns a 2011 SHO and he's 83. He said the same damned thing you did.

All I can say after driving it 100 miles in the past two days is ... OMG

It moves this 4400lbs car like it's a tissue box.

If I ever get back into the market for a new truck, an Ecoboost F150 is definitely on the list...

Build quality on the Taurus is high, handles like a dream. Gotta remember that cops are around, or I'm doing 70 on side streets. Holy bejeezus...

Great to here Art! My truck gets whipped around like a wet dishrag by this tiny little V-6.

That's a sharp looking SHO. I know how fun our EcoBoost Flex is to drive, I'm sure the SHO is a blast.

One thing last night, I pulled out of a parking lot making a right turn. Had to pull out in traffic, and it stuck like glue and FLEW. Of course, traffic stopped dead a few hundred feet up the road. Snapped off the throttle and hit the brakes, the thing kept pulling... like the fly-by-wire wouldn't let off the throttle while the turbos were in boost.

Second time I've noticed this behavior. Not a bad thing, just gotta get used to it continuing to pull after letting off the go-pedal

I'm assuming there's no blow-off valve? Or if there is, it's very quiet?

I was just looking at one at the dealer. Cool looks all blacked out. I had a new 2008 GT500, and only put 900 miles on it. Gawd awful fast!!! That's why it is no longer in the fleet. Really had no use for it. I found myself cruising at 95-100 with ease. Sorry to say, had to sell it and move on. Like you said, if I had that when I was 20, I too wouldn't be here to talk about it.
Best of luck with the new purchase!

To anyone interested in the actual operation of the Ecoboost, this OBD-II spec from Motorcraft's website helps a lot:

http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi.../OBDSM1202.pdf

Model year 2012.

Car has been awesome. I hurt my neck the other day trying to unstick it
