Use them as much as I can. They are usually made by Purolator.

The FL1A is one of the best filters out there and also one of the best deals. Can't beat that.

Not the best video out there, but it does explain things well.

FL-1A replaced B7A-6731-A, C1AZ-6731-A, D9AZ-6731-A .. "Spin-On" Oil Filter / Myriad 1957/97 I-6, V6 & V8 FoMoCo vehicles.

FL-300 short version of FL-1A = 1975/78 Mustang II 302.

What's the cheapest price anyone has seen for FL-1A? / MSRP each: $7.22 // FTE sponsor tousleyfordparts.com price each: $3.58.

I prefer Wix (Napa Gold) though Motorcraft would probably be my second choice.

Raise the hood, see a GM oil filter on a Ford engine. What is the world coming to?

Good filtering, they also make some of the best spark plugs.

BTW NumberDummy, I switched my 400 over to the "Chevy Style" intake gasket and will be swapping my other Hi-Boy to a 14 bolt GM FF. Also thinking about a 2wd GM steering box and cross over steer.

but, back to filtering!!!

Ford integral P/S made by Saginaw, a division of General Motors.

DELCO = Dayton Engineering Laboratories Co., founded in Dayton OH in 1909 by Charles Kettering. In order to hire Kettering as their Chief Engineer, GM had to buy DELCO

AC = Albert Champion, sold AC to General Motors, then started a new company: Champion Spark Plugs

We should start a 'keep your Ford a Ford' movement. I like Wix due to the spring but my Fusion is element only do it gets motorcraft. In fact I go motorcraft whenever possible as its just better; wish more stuff was still made by them or our trucks.

They should license select aftermarket manufactures to make OEM equivalent parts that are actually OEM equivalent. Kinda like dynacorn does with the mustang and bronco bodies.

Were does the line get drawn?

An FL1A is a Purolator hybrid.

An FL-2016 Ford 6.0 oil filter is made by Racor which is also rebranded as Fram, Micro-Gard and also Racor.
