99 F250SD 5.4/auto with 3.73 gears and 287/75r16 tires. Runs smooth, but 160-200,000 miles (debatable history) with synthetic transfer case and gear oil and a tonneau cover. Best I've gotten yet is 13.9mpg 99% highway 1% offroad. Typically I see 11.5-12.5 50% highway 50% city.

But those numbers are if I baby it. Driving it in a ...more enjoyable... manner... I see single digits.

Gaining MPG with a tuner is a myth. And MPG increase you get should be considered lucky. Every vehicle I've owned has been tuned and I'd say a actually lost MPG, not much but I did.

I wouldnt say i picked up any mpg with a tuner. The only thing i noticed was shift points, it almost feels like i lost a little low end power

2007 5.4 SC/SB 2WD 3.73LS averaged 16.2 mpg over the last 3300 miles. Lowest was 15.2, highest was 17. Mostly highway miles, sometimes loaded with up to a ton in the bed, which doesn't seem to affect mpgs at all. What does affect mpgs is sitting in traffic or city driving.

Was getting high 16 - low 17 mpg in the 99 reg cab 5.4.

'99 SC 4x4, 4.10's stock size tires. I get around 11-12 mpg in town driving, 14-15 0n the hiway, all empty. Loaded or towing it goes down to 8-10.
I have picked up a little mileage and performance by using non ethanol gas which is available here locally...

'02 excursion(think of it as a 250 with a cap) 4x4 V10 3:73

my overall average of the last 19,487 miles is 9.0mpg works out to be $0.41 cents a mile...great daily driver/commuter right? haha

but i normally see 8-10mpg city and 11-14.5 highway...been pretty consistent.
