ScanguageII mounting

Installing in an Ex. which I think is nearly the same as the f250's and up.

Where is everyone mounting their scanguageII? I just recieved mine and have not messed with it much yet. I want to make sure I place it where it is easy to use and still visible while driving.

If you just used the velcro, where did you locate it and how do you like it there?

I have seen the blendmount - just seems a little rich, but I like the location.

I saw a few months back where someone had a frame for the SGII, just dont remember much about it, not even 100% sure it was on this sight. Anyone recall this?? Seemed like a member was selling them.

Mine just sits in the cubby hole (and falls out every time I hit the gas hard), the 6 position chip **** just hangs over the steering column.

Below an a/c vent is where I've thought about it.

I've got a blendmount now but previously had it located below the headlight switch and held by two strips of velcro. That location worked out fairly well overall and having it at the junction of the two panels allowed for better retention with a velcro strip on each panel. You can see the old location in the bottom-left of this picture:

Are you the next Stewart, going to give your truck to the little one in the future?

That's a good spot. Glad I saw your pic, I was thinking of drilling through the panel and putting the wire through it from the back of the scan gauge either in the same spot as yours or on the right under the a/c vent.

Good luck TCR, make sure to use automotive velcro. I've found no other type retains adhesion in the heat, including industrial.

Little girl does love the truck but thankfully it'll be an antique before she is an eligible driver.

What a coincidence, just received my Scangauge II today as well. What is this "Blendmount" you all speak of?
