So I've been watching my coolant level for a while...

It dropped to about -10 now, and the coolant is about a pinky finger below the cold fill, and it was at the cold line before.

Does that sound normal, or did something start weeping with the cold temps?

 

I lost about that much. Has been steady ever since.

 

Mine hasn't dropped yet. Oh, but wait, we are only a 67* today WOW! -10*..Dang that is cold!

 

-10 is thin jacket weather.
-40 is getting there...

When I worked in FT mcmurray AB one year, it was even colder.
A bottle of vodka froze solid.

Guys that work up there often said it gets even colder, and trees start to explode.

 

I was down a hair as well once we started averaging below 80 degrees everyday. Now we're 50-70, topped off the coolant, and its holding.
