This is what I use on my 4x4. 14 oz grease gun cartridge and applied through the ABS sensor hole. It is what was orinally used and no quessing.

Also:

Timken used Exxon/Mobil Infinitec 152, but it's not available in smaller quantities. I went searching for a more-available grease that was similarly-rated and came up with this Delo greases.

For something readily-available that's also very good, Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease is at most auto-parts houses.

Anything you use should be lithium-complex-based, and the use of any moly additive is debatable. Timken didn't.

For the procedure to do the service, see this photo.

I remember a while back someone had a fitting that they were going to build that would go in the ABS hole to allow you to grease easier. I was just wondering what ever came of these.

wow, didn't know it was possible until reading the Link Pop posted... guess I'll be greasing mine before my trip to houston Thursday, considering i've noticed a lot of grease on the driver side that I was pretending wasn't there.
