water pump r&r

I'm going to be replacing a water pump on a 99 psd tomorrow and was wondering if anyone could tell.e if there are any special tools I need to take with me. TIA.

There is a tool for removing the fan. You can typically 'rent' it from autozone, discount auto, etc.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend switching coolant to an ELC (as long as its not an E99...).

The only other thing is swapping the upper radiator hose out for the one that goes AROUND the belt instead of through it. Thanks for that one Ford.
