1960 f100 with factory power steering?

Call Engler Brothers Auto Parts in Santa Monica, ask if they know someone who can rebuild Power Assist P/S.
If you need parts, Engler is the parts store to go to, best dang autoparts store for older vehicles.
West side of La Puebla AV just north of Whittier Blvd. Mostly original red 1956 F100 Custom Cab (original radio/heater/272 w/Ford-O-Matic) moldering away...parked outside in a driveway. Owner is holding on to it like grim death.
Nov 17th: FTE SoCal Chapter is having a GTG at the battleship USS IOWA, located in LA Harbor (San Pedro). See SoCal Chapter forum for details.

Was power steering an option? I have a guy that has supposedly factory power steering for my truck that I am interested in but its missing the bump, bracket and pulley. Then another guy that parted out a big f series truck with this power steering pump, bracket and pulley that mounts on the water pump:
I figure this big truck engine had rams on it (had, thats why they are missing)

I'm right next to Whittier too...200' north of the city limits in Hacienda Heights. Top of the hill, west of Colima, south of the power poles.

That's me, Steve from MaryJanesville!
Actually, earlier this spring, after I noticed a grow operation across the street, I notified the landlord, a friend, about what was happening. It's only a matter of time till the break-ins, or a fire occurs.
Two days later, after being served an eviction notice, a fire occurred in the grow structure, and it burnt up , and also caught the neighbors fence on fire.
The idiots, you could smell the dope growing throughout the neighborhood. The hillbillies weren't quite up to speed about filtering. They had a wood burning stove in a bamboo-and-plastic tarp structure, all equipment powered by a 100 ft. extension cord, and it all burnt to the ground. The young couple has three little girls under the age of six.
In this area, the "migrant workers" begin arriving in the fall, in their myriad assortment of VW micro busses and other odd vehicles. Ahh, bud trimming time, says I. Little hippies all, the skinny white guys in tie dye and dreadlocks, their old ladies sporting tank tops, long flowing gauze skirts and having unshaven armpits.( Not that there's anything wrong with that - if you're a guy!)

Power Steering
You guys are cracking me up. I'm loving this site....my wife thinks I'm doing **** or something I'm on here so much.
My 59 was my hi school 'car' in 1964 and I still have it & did all the work myself, so I figured I knew everything about these trucks. But Boy I'm still learning-Thanks.
Power steering & brakes an option! I never would've imagined...or needed. But w/ big wide tires and reversed wheels there has been a time or 3 trying to park in tight spots my "Granny" arms could have used an assist.
For years I kept a copy of 'Classic Trucks" in my nite stand that showed a really clean conversion for the old 56 series using a Toyota box and I don't remember what pump, but it looked applicable to our trucks.
Since I "disect" every one of these trucks I've ever come accross I figured I'd seen every combo. avail. -apparently not.
So all the "options" that I built for mine over the years (see my gallery) were likely avail. from the factory.....what a let down.
