What the hell is that hissing sound I hear all the time? Am I the only one?
I hear it a lot especially at lower speeds. Like a air valve opening and closing.
Got a video of it? Can you tell what part of the truck it's coming from (front/rear/outside cab/inside cab/etc)? Does it do it at idle?
I haven't heard any hissing out of mine, nor have I heard similar reports of this (that I remember).
No video. Seems to be coming from outside of cab. Maybe from the exhaust system or motor , not sure. I will start paying more attention to it and advise.
The hissing sound I get is from the A/C cycling. You can hear the freon pressurizing and depressurizing at the Evap core inside the truck, probably from the orifice tube.

You may be on to something cause I did not use the AC today and I heard no "hissing". So if it is the AC, is that par for the course, or should I take it to Ford?
