I was having problems with a soft brake pedal. I changed the master cylinder and booster several times, never solving the problem. I had my truck in a shop for another reason and was telling them about the soft brake pedal. They found a Ford bulletin online addressing the booster problem. They replaced the boost with part # F5TZ-2005-CA which greatly improved the soft pedal problem.
