What shocks
I'm not going to recommend one of those only because I have only used the Fords (which came stock on my trucks of course).
Check to see if the base-model KYB is in your price range (typically a straight-silver paintjob, no flashy graphics, but a great OEM (but better)replacement shock/strut).
If you're down to those three, pick the one that comes from the place that you believe sells the most shocks. At the garage I worked at we tried to avoid using shocks that probably sat in the boxes (fully compressed by a nylon cord) for too long after some questionable outcomes (so we would avoid certain parts stores for shocks, and we tried to order in KYB's when the customer had the time). Dust all over the box? Take it back before you use it - it's probably been sitting around too long.
Best,

yo, I too like the KYB shocks (Gas-a-just). Our Bronco was like a buckin' Bronco over some highway stretches (an undulating ride) from the day we bought it.
The KYB's trounced that roller coaster ride, and also the harshness over the highway expansion strips. Lifetime warranty and reasonably priced 9local 4x4/tire shop was cheaper than the on-line stores).

Obviously a better made shock, but I'm more into getting decent road handling. I bet the Ford, delco, and Gabriel options are softer sprung (and the expensive Gas-A-Just could be set to 'soft'), so those may be more to some people's liking.

The gas-a-just shocks aren't adjustable and I paid $30.00 each at the local 4x4/tire store.

I always thought KYB Gas-A-justs were KYB's adjustable version, and the GR-2 was the less-expensive non-adjustable.
Shows ya how much I know, eh?
