53 ID tags

I just bought a 53 F100, it came with one ID tag screwed to the glove box door and another one not attached, just sitting in the glove box, trying to figure out where to attach the other one ,can't find 4 holes that line up, but maybe when they painted it they filled the holes,I had a 52 and one tag was on the firewall behind the engine but was smaller almost square in shape the 53 one is longer and thinner ,any help guys?,thanks,Paul

Do they both have the same numbers stamped on them, or is one for a different truck and just 'spare parts?'

Rating Plate installed on inside of glovebox door.

Same exact numbers: One might be mangy original, t'other might be newish replacement.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Buck Tag (if so equipped) installed on firewall.

Codes on buck tags used by assembly line workers to verify parts installed matched trucks build sheet.

well lets see you got two tags .................. time to go find another truck . you can restore one , and turn the other into a hot rod , paint them the same colour , and when the mood hits you , you can swap the plates 'tween them and drive the one that tweeks yer beak at that moment .......... no one will be the wiser ...... right ................
