Could you please send me the file with the E4OD rebuild tips?
I purchased both ATSG manuals, but I would like a second opinion.

Thanks,

hello dieselzen I see you have been getting a lot of requests for your zip file for the E4OD. If at all possible I would like a copy of this also as I have a rebuild in the very near future. Ive done a couple transmisioms in the past but never this particular one. Also are there any thoughts out there on beefing this trans. I have a 1990 F-450 Super Duty with a 460, It is my welding rig and it's pretty heavy about 15,900 lbs. Any info would be appreciated.

I need some help from some of you guys out there.I have an E4OD, Here is the problem with my transmission. When I put it into drive you can feel it kicking in but it will not pull, Ican shift it manually from first, second and into drive and everything works alright. OD works ok. I believe it is an electrical problem but do not know exactly how to test it. I actually think I have a solenoid gone for third gear.Iwould really like to get a copy of the zip file on the E4OD if any one could send it to me I would greatly appreciate it. My email address is jroc at chartermi.net If anybody could give me any suggestions I would appreciate it Thanks

Sorry, but as a new user, I can't post my email address.

Rebuilding E4OD

I have a 90 Bronco with a bad E4OD, I got the truck with the tranny already bad. I've replaced the selinoid pack, the shift module and connector. It won't shift past 1st, I can manually shift it into 2nd, but it won't go into 3rd or overdrive. I really don't want to buy a rebuilt one or a new one, someone mentioned a zip file with rebuilding instructions. If you could PM me I would really like to have that.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing the transmission to behave this way?

Thanks,

Rick

Does the speed meter is working? it seems to me the problem culd be VSS sensor or related components.
