Gas prices?

I'm over in Salyersville...We have 2 petrol stations left...After the tornado hit, etc....A Speedway (Down in town) and a BP (On the Mountain Parkway)...

Gas this morning was $3.49 per/gal at Speedway....BP was $3.27 per/gal...

How the HELL is gas $0.22 DIFFERENCE, between the 2 stations, less than 2 miles apart...

Bear in mind that neighboring Paintsville's gas, has remained a steady $3.27-3.33 across town (About 5 stations)...

Had one flare up in which gas shot to $3.49 per/gal for 1 day, then resettled to the previous prices...

Am I wrong in thinking something is amiss with the prices here in Salyersville? Price gouging maybe?

I just know it's total BS that the stations aren't even TRYING to be competetive anymore....

Geeezus I miss the "Gas Wars" of the late '90's.....Gas would be battled down to $.01 per gallon....

I remember my parent's getting to fill their tanks up on pocket change...I mean, literal pocket change....

Someone got re-elected and speedway tripped over themselves to raise gas .30 cents.

Speedway in Alexandria had gas for $2.99 a couple weeks ago. Diesel (which is what I usually buy) has been around the $3.89-$3.99 mark for a while. Last week however, a Speedway in Cynthiana had it for $3.59 in the morning, which I filled up, then it was $3.58 in the afternoon on my way back home. Yes, I filled up again!
