Power fold mirrors not working

My 2003 Navigator's power fold mirrors do not work. The motor sounds week on the drivers side and doesn't move the mirror all the way in or out, it varies and sometimes the passenger side will move and sometimes it doens't make a sound. Anyone have this problem? Is it a bad motor in the mirrors or could it be a bad connection in the wiring to the mirros?

I am going to pull it apart when it isn't so cold out so I don't break anything. I am wondering if it is a bad electrical connection and not something broken.

electrically they are ok, the motors are no good. drivers side works well if you help it, passenger side doesn't move at all. Not sure if you can access the motor to try and grease the gears to help it move. These haven't been used for years and now I have a need to use them. I am going to pull the door panel and remove the mirror to hopefully get a better look and maybe find a way to fix it other then buying new mirrors for $350 each.

So I pulled the passenger door panel off and removed the mirror. The connection to the mirror was corroded which helped to now get the mirror to move a little bit but the motor still sounds very weak on both sides and if you push the mirror it will move in and out. The bottom line is there is nothing you can do to fix the power fold motor other then buy new mirrors which is what I may just do. If you remove the glass from the mirror there is a connector for the fold motor attached to a small module, that also had some corrosion so I would clean all connections on yours before deciding if the mirrors need to be replaced.

good luck with yours
