Gettin ready to go on a long trip (3000 miles) is there any advise or things i should check before takin off thanks

 

If all is running good, I check oil, coolant level, and tire pressure. Trans fluid if auto. Enjoy the trip. That is what I did with a similar length trip to Vancouver Island & return to sask. with trailer load of stuff and a camper. Oh, I use howse diesel fuel additive, truck likes that and the ford fuel additive, other stuff red of purple whatnot additive the truck doesn't like.

 

You have gauges, DashBoss, Torque or ScanGauge?

I just watched the FREE videos a while back took notes and made my checklist sheet from there, added stuff as I read them here and elsewhere but that is where I got the base info. I love how he is always trying to sell his gizmo in almost every video.

 

yes i have a scan gauge and watch my delta on my oil and water. Just had oil cooler and bpd egr cooler and switched to elc had my turbo cleaned replaced dummy plugs and standpipes also did blue spring upgrade

 

I just did the first half of a 3,000 mile trip... Pump up the tires, current oil change, top up the coolant in the bottle, add windshield washer fluid, and remember to turn at the end of the driveway...

Seriously, I've done this trip (Hamilton Ontario to Tatamagouche Nova Scotia, 3700 km round trip) 6 times this summer. It's to the point where all I do is toss the go-bag in the back seat and go...
