fuel lines take two.. :)

After spending 3+ hours at NAPA yesterday I still can't find the fitting i need. I did order a fitting to repair the fuel inlet on the carb. We looked thru books and drawer after drawer of fittings. I looked online and just can't find it. I followed the links from this site that I was given and learned alot. Still need a link or an actual NAPA part number that works for this fitting. NAPA website and even the online chat dude there didn't agree on some of his own part numbers. So what I need is a fitting that goes into the fuel pump ( 1/2"-20) with a tapered end to replace the ferrule and the other end needs to be 5/16" tubing (also 1/2"-20) with inverted flare. Any takers on this? This is the final piece of the puzzle I hope for me to get my truck going.
Thanks!

Go to a hydraulic parts store, I'm pretty sure what you need is an AN-4 fitting, which is 7/16-20. Or are you saying it's NPT (tapered pipe thread) into the pump? 1/4"-NPT is about 1/2" dia and 18 threads per inch.

AN Fitting Thread Size Chart

Worse comes to worse, you can buy the stock hose with fittings from VanPelt's and others, for about $10, and cut off the one end. P/N 7HC-9288-A

All threads are 1/2"-20. On a 5/16" brake line like you suggested me getting the actual fitting threads are 1/2"-20 which threads perfectly into the fuel pump and carb inlet. They are however, inverted flare.

You need something like this:
NAPA AUTO PARTS

Screw that into the pump, put a hose barb x NPT on that, run hose to essentially the same lineup on the end of the hard line.
