New Turbo
HI,
Put a Rebuilt turbo in 96 f250 with the 7.3L along with a new pedistol and when I first start it up and run it, it seems as if the waist gate is sticking open because I get a lot of turbo noise and can here a large amount of air flow. When driving it does not do this when you first get on it, but when you begin to cruise at a constant speed it does it and when you come to a stop it quits right before stopping. but once driving for like 15 minutes it quits and operates as normal.
Is this just something that occurs until it gets broke in or is something wrong?
Thanks.

1994.5 - 1997 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums Here is a link to the page for your engine in the Diesel Section, probably better to ask the guys there. Also take a look at the STICKIES on that page, some good info.
Good luck.
Good luck.
