What are these wires?

Doing a front end upgrade on my 1999 F350 Dually Lariat. When I took off the grill I came across this connector located next to the radiator on the drivers side.

It has two wires, one appears to be green and with a red (perhaps orange) stripe, the other is white with a red stripe.

I'm also going to install fog lights and wanted to know if I could tap into this connector and use an OEM switch of some sort. Note, that the origin of the two wires is at the wiring harness for the front lights (on the drivers side).

Haven't found a wiring diagram that shows these wires.

Thanks in advance

I believe that is an ambient air temperature sensor.

I thought it may have been a sensor but discounted it because the grey looking attachment is plastic. Looks dummy like (please resist the jokes)

I think Tugly got it. Do you have a headliner console?

He is correct. That is the Ambient Air Temp Sensor. The wires will be there regardless of if he has a headliner console. But that does look like some sort of sensors, so I would assume he does.

Yes, have the headliner console. So it's a sensor even with it being a hard plastic? Can anyone confirm what the wires are, just to make sure? Thanks to all that responded...
