I was hoping that ArcticYBlock would weigh in, but I'll give it a try.

To post pictures in a forum thread, the picture needs to reside online somewhere first. Some guys use Photobucket. I use the albums here on FTE.....so here goes:
1. click on "Albums" in the blue bar at the top of your screen
2. Near the top left of the screen is an "Add Albums" selection...click on that
3. Give the album a title and click the "Submit" button
4. In the center of the screen click "Click Here to Upload Pictures"
5. Use the Browse buttons to select pictures from whatever folder you keep them in on your computer - up to 3 at a time. The max size is 1024x768, so you may need to use Photoshop or a digital picture software tool to re-size your pictures.

Now that you have pics in an album, do this:
Click on your username and it will take you to your profile page. On the right side of the page there will be a list of your albums...pick the one that you just created and uploaded pictures to.

1. Select the picture that you want - you are selecting the small thumbnail pic and that will expand the picture to a large size
2. Under the picture will be an http address called the picture URL...select that and copy it.

Now...with the URL in your buffer, go to the thread that you want to post in. After writing whatever text you want, click on the tool at the top of the message that looks like a small yellow box with a mountain in it (the "insert image" button).
Clicking that button will prompt a popup asking for the URL. Click in that box and paste in the URL that you copied earlier. Since you hopefully selected and copied the whole address (including the http://, paste in over that http:// shown in the popup and put in the address of your picture.
Click OK...the picture should show up in your text box.
When you have all of the text and pictures that your want, click "Submit Reply" at the bottom of the page...your text and pics should post.

I hope this helps.

Dan

Here's another way to post pics.

Go to Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...ghtsafter1.jpg

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.
