November B.S. Thread

I can't believe it's November already! What's everybody up to? I've been around the southern part of the state this week. Went south of Jelico, TN. Then up 63 to Middlesboro, KY. That was a nice scenic drive. I was back down in Corbin this morning. Hopefully this weekend I can get some junk cleaned up around the place.

School and family! Might be working on my dad's brakes in the morning. He called and told me his car has a low pedal, thinking we might need to bleed them. I have two more tests by wed next week and a paper so I will be studying a lot.

Was your drive for the scenery or did work take you that way?

Work took me that way. I replaced a spindle on a truck at a T/A Truckstop garage at exit 141 in Tennessee, then had a trailer spindle to replace in Middlesboro. Then, like I said, I was back in Corbin yesterday. Had they called us when that trailer came it, I would have spent the night in Corbin and replaced it the next morning instead of making another trip down. The hundred dollars that I spent for fuel could have paid for a cheap hotel, and have money to spare!

EffieTrucker is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
We're getting to our slow season. That means more time for the '53.

I've accepted my lack of metal working skills, and bought new fenders and running boards. I plan to get a new bed as well. I think my rear fenders can be salvaged, they're not that bad, and I have a guy that's going to help me with the cab.

As long as I don't break myself again this winter, the truck should be drivable by spring.

Sitting here in Foraker freezing my butt off....Screw winter!

Went and signed up on my Unemployment the other day...Since jobs are as scarce as hens' teeth....Ones that pay more than $50 a week at least...

Have had weird issues with my High Pressure Power Steering hose...

It was leaking BAD....Took it off, cleaned it all up...Put it back on and now the leak is almost non-existant....wtf?

Anywho...Sitting here, cold and broke....

Anyone else?

It's because I have a training to go to, and can't be outside.

Morning Gig!! Today's election day so I hope everyone goes out and votes. A lot of things to vote on where I live. Read up and make an informed decision. I know we shouldn't get political on here, but this year we are voting on a State Constitutional Amendment. Basically, what this is about is making hunting and fishing a Right in the state of Ky. The purpose of this is to prevent any group from attempting to outlaw these practices. If it's in the Constitution, it will make it extremely tough for anyone to ban it.

I'm voting for that right John!

And yes, I'll be going to the polls today with my family...

I did my voting at 645 this morning and got the oil changed after that. Been busy as I got tonights chili cooking in the crock pot and spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove for later this week. goofing on here for a few minutes and back to studying for my tests this coming week and paper writing. Thank God my boy wants to watch Scooby Doo.
