I need to get my seat recovered. I'm not sure if I'll take it someplace local to have it done or buy a ready made seat cover from someplace like LMC or Automotive Interiors and Accessories. The thing is....the back rest of my seat has sharp edges where the top meets the sides....while in the LMC catalog the pictures they show for the '57 to '66 seats have rounded corners. What doesn't make sense is that their picture for '61 to '66 seats have the pointed corners. This is on pg 90 of their newest catalog. It makes me hesitant to try ordering something through the mail. I looked on the back of my seat for some sort of tag but there's nothing there. I don't know if my truck has an original '59 seat or not. Can anyone help? What does your pickup seat have.....sharp corners or rounded ones?
Cannot be sure on this, but since the Custom Cab trucks had upgraded seating over the standard cab, meaning a better quality cover, and better padding, which was thicker, perhaps the two have different profiles.
I sourced my non- original seatcovers from Whitney's, I cannot remember who the actual manufacture is, but it is a heavy-duty, two-tone cover that fit my Custom Cab perfectly.I had it professionally installed, and the seat was rebuilt at that time.
Sometimes, the photos used by the mass-market catalog vendors are generic. You should post up a photo or two of your seat.
If NumberDummy sees this thread, he'll chime in ( and prolly hammer me, as well).

I am pretty sure my seats are original if the flaking burlap underneath is a sign but they have definitely been recovered pretty nicely - definitely not leather but quite nice.................
