No days in the woods so far. Too much drama at work. On weekends I have been helping out with building projects with Freedom Builders. It's a nonprofit group that helps disadvantaged people fix their home and make them habitable again. Last weekend we put a roof on a house for a family whose father has terminal congestive heart failure. Best 10 hours of unpaid labor!

Thats good stuff, had an opertunity to do this with a church for a while. As you said, it is a GREAT experience. Huh, I havent heard from them lately.. wonder if I was fired?
Come to think of it, I havent heard from the group I did the river clean up either..there is starting to be a pattren..
Hell, I havent even been called to donate blood in the last 6 months...
Well I didn't get an email for this weekend either. Probably vented too much about my boss.
Guess we will have to put together our own charity work bee soon.

I am embarrased to say that I have only one morning out in the woods. But come the 15th, I am going to be out at least 5 days in a row.. at least!!!
Or, as it is know as in our household, Holy Week. Got thanksgiving week off to play in the woods.

Pat, I think it's because all three of the above had beer involved with it.
1. you can't clean the river when you pee in it from nights of drinking.
2. They don't what you back when you arrive smelling like beer. Unless you have some to pass around.
3. you can't donate blood when you arrive with a beer.
