How's this for strange? I got an '03 Honda CRV here. The computer has a code of "Random misfire". When the computer sees a miss, it's usually electronic because there's no sensors for internal mechanical. It never even occurred to me to do a compression check. #4 only had 25psi. I pull the head to see what's up and find a broken valve. ....in a newer Honda. ......that the computer recognized. That sequence of events is REALLY rare.

The head will be off to the machine shop tomorrow morning.

Jeff - I know a guy at work that just parked his Caddy, that I think, has that engine in it. If you're interested, I'll see if he interested in parting with it next week.

 

Thought I'd check in on you all. We hve some enternet, and some of the tv's working. Guess our inguy that installed our stuff didn't re-stock his truck. Everything was bad, wireless modems, HDTV reciever box's etc. Say's they'll get it fixed this friday. I'm calling and going to have a fit. I bit my first bill won't show that only 1 computer works, no wireless/wifi, and 1 out of 4 yes (FOUR) tv's are working proplerly... Rich keep us posted about your arrival.

Ok boys I made it to northern Iraq (Erbil) and will hopefully get to sleep in a bed rather than the floor or a baggage carousel for 6 ish hrs.

Get manifested for another plane ride tomorrow early afternoon and get to Baghdad tomorrow early evening.....
