well iv had a fun morning so far, i just changed plugs and wires on the truck yesterday and advanced my timing up a bit and got it runnin pretty good and on my way to a friends house this morning to help skin a deer his daughter got, 1 jumped out in front of me and i slid into the ditch but didnt think it hurt anything but it started makin some weird noises goin down the road and when i got to his house i didnt see anything but on the way home it got even worse so i took it to the shop and jacked the front end up and when i did my front left shock pretty much fell off, somehow when i hit the ditch it shoved my shock straight up through the shock tower, this should be fun to fix

One car fixed, one to go. Right now I'm taking a break for some lunch and then I'll be back on the wife's car. I'm going to have to wait for gaskets and such - no one around here has them in stock anywhere close. Hopefully I'll have what's needed by midweek.

It's Duplicolor Cast Coat Iron engine enamel. I like the look of it. I think the flash made it look lighter than it really is. I'll try and get some more pics out in sunlight. Should look better.

Taking a breather, moving truck should be here shortly. Some neighbors/friends are throwing a gowing away BBQ for us all tonight. My back is throbbing, and I'm waiting for the little white pills to start doing some good, hopefully soon.
Alan's been here and picked up his new work bench, all 10 feet of it. We head out in the early morning light. We're going to take our time, and just go untill somebody has had enough of driving for a day. We should be at the new house early in the day, this next Tuesday...

Thanks again for the help and always being a great friend. And to you to there Alan for the hand...but do not worry you will have more chances to help in the future. lol

Drive safe and hope them NC FTE boys know there are getting a great addition there FTE family. You sure will be missed here.....

Best of luck to Shari on the new job and tell Tim to hang in there with the move.

Ok - I give. I'm going to have to pull the passenger side cylinder head to get the coolant tubes out of the valley.

Ordering up the parts tonight so I can get it back together again next weekend. I wish this thing was as easy to work on as my Fords.

I got the work bench against the back wall and everything put away that needed to be. (for now)

Bob. You will be missed. Thanks again for all the help you've offered and we'll see you when you move back next year.

Dave. That sucks. Sometimes there's no easy way.

That it does Alan, that it does.

Bob - Thanks so much for the floor board. Progress may have been stalled for the moment due to current vehicle problems, but it will get done. Safe travels friend.

I'm up too.

I'm gonna tinker with the '56 today. I want to get the starter in and see about fitting the drive shaft. Not much else to do with it after that.

Jeff, what do you need the shims for? I know you can buy wedge shims for the rear/front axle to correct pinion angle. I think I may have two wedge body shims in the garage, I'll look today for you.

Bob, have a safe trip.

Rich, ...you too.
