Well, I had a hell of a day.

I thought I had a rash from the meds I was taking for my colitis. NOPE! It turns out it's shingles. Yay me. I guess that explains why I've been so sore and the rash was burning. Now they have me on even more meds. Ugh. really?

On the plus side of things, I keep hearing about how awful these are supposed to be and they just don't feel that bad. Yeah, I'm sore and they sting, but it's not what everybody has been making them out to be. Tiff says that's because I'm pure evil and pain is afraid of me. She might be on to something about the pure evil thing.

Go need to to go the VA and get all this stuff and all your back issues resolved! Have you talked to your local va rep? You need to get the compensation/disability pay you earned with those injuries while you were in. Please Alan.

Stop by the below link and post up your story and the advice will roll in.

Ok, Rich. I posted my story over there. I'm sure what advice I'll hear that I haven't heard before, but let's see.

Alan - the reason you're not suffering with the shingles is because the shingles are suffering from you.

Still not done with the Toyota. It took me a lot longer than I liked to get the timing right and then the timing cover was a total pain. It took two attempts at putting the silicone on before I got the timing case on. Geez - why couldn't they have left the oil pump in the block where it belongs? I've also never seen a set of aluminum heads with so many sharp edges. If the weather holds - I should finish tomorrow. Maybe.. If I'm lucky.

PS - I had Jesse helping put in some bolts in the back of the heads for the cooling system and missed taking a picture of him planking across the front of it.

I found a nice 11 point skeleton while brushhogging a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if it got shot from the road and made it to where I found it or if the blue tongue got it. I would have liked to have shot it during season. I did manage to get a little button buck this morning. Should be good eating!

He shot once, they ran, no blood sign. He's incredibly rusty. He doesn't get out and shoot often enough. He'd probably do better with a sling-shot than the .300 mag boomstick he carries.

Alan, you deserve something for your service to our country. Yup shingles are suffering through you. I don't agree at all with Tiffany's sarcastic comment about pure evil, you're just stronger than the shingles.
Final coats of clear are on the body of the 68 I think. It just depends on how deep the clear looks in the sun. Woke at four this morning...,dangit!

Good morning all!

Well my weekend went nuts, and im still recoving from the shock of selling my baby aka ol reliable white crew cab 3/4 ton. I really didnt tow enough with it anymore, the miles were piling up on it and the gas was a killer in it. So I sold him and picked up a beater for winter use and maybe some Smorr fun? 96 GMC Sonoma Highrider 4x4 extra cab (same as a chevy zr2) . A cheap trip to humansville (junk yard) ought to cure it of all its minor issues.. Next day off I guess. Tonight starts 2 overtime assignments then back to my regular schedual. Got to make the $ this month with 3 pay days in it!

Too hot to deer hunt, got the press to press out the old ujoints from Oriellys last night. Red will be mobile today with the 1 piece driveshaft(plus slip yoke)...then I got seat belts to put in and some of those window felts to stop the window from banging around. Then ill probable move Red to my white trucks old spot.
Then ill work on cleaning the engine bay on the 96. Need to come up with a name for it, but still to sad seeing ol reliable leave to name another right now. My son is going to work on cleaning the inside. It needs some stuff, but Roy scotts junk yard will fix all that in one trip im guessing.

Guess id better get to it!

Morning Jeff.

I'm up, but not firing on all 8 yet. I'm going to try to get a few things done on the 4Runner before the bad weather hits. Maybe I can get back on schedule to be finished tomorrow.

Gm Dave.

Oh hades, I have an issue, got the new ujoints installed, and went to drive Red....some thing is wrong, he wont move.....i put him in gear release the clutch and nothing, wont move nothing, no bind ....im gonna check the clutch linkage. Hell the front drive shaft yoke is turning....let me check the clutch linkage, its not the best setup, should have had Alan check it while it was down there.

Hope everyone is doing good. Lots of work to do today!
