Nevada's November Thanksgiving Gobble Thread

I'm down here, when I'm not somewhere else. Been crazy busy lately, but it's all good.
Santa's Village(looks awesome BTW) cursed you with the voice of an elf, Donna. Soon you'll want to make toys.

I am hoping to be able to get together and meet some fellow members eventually. I am not mobile right now except on the weekends or evenings after the wife gets home with the only vehicle. This does not allow me much time outside the house. I was a full line mechanic for 20 years and believe I have something to offer. I have also been a computer programmer and game developer for many years. I am have gone back to school and I am getting a Bachelors degree in Game Art. I think my 3D modeling experience can also be helpful in creating digital mock ups and even printable diagrams made to specifics. I need to find a vehicle for daily use so I can get some work so I can afford a project vehicle. Once that is set I will be on the hunt for a 50-51 F1.
Sorry to ramble on but I felt the info might help everyone get to know a bit about me.
Hope everyone had a great Tuesday.

That's great Greg. It helps to know our members.
We seem to have trouble making get togethers happen. Partly because we don't know each other really well. So chime in any time, always glad to hear from our members.
My early work with mechanics in the early sixties was building and repairing moonshiner's cars. Moved away from there, went to Europe and when I got back I was drafted. I was in electronics in the army, got out and opened a gas station. Got fed up with that and worked in dealerships till the eighties. Got fed up with that, sold my house and bought a boat. My son and I lived on the boat for a couple of years in LA. Got a great job building cars, doing some restorations and doing a lot of modifications. After a number of years of that, moved to Tahoe. Have only done a little mechanical work here. Sold real estate for seven years, got tired of that and started doing remodelling work. Now I'm making glass jewelry and other art work.
Haha, got my adult life in a single paragraph!!!
I have been playing around here on FTE since '05, It's always fun and informative.

sounds interesting. My family and I moved from Florida about a year and a half ago. We love it here in Vegas but we don't know anyone. I drool over the fact that the 50+ y/o vehicles with little to no rust. In Florida anything over 5 y/o seemed to have the cancer. I have done many dirt track cars and restos on classic muscle cars. I have always wanted and early 50's F1 and a I hope to make that happen. I am looking to go darkside with it because I do want to make a daily driver. I am trolling the forums here and creating a game plan before I get the truck so I know what direction to go. I am hoping this will help save time and money and give me the truck I have always wanted. I will have plenty of questions as I get more into things so I am glad to have found this forum.

Morning to all.
I hope you are feeling better Donna.
I hope everyone has their shopping for tomorrow finished. I would hate to be in a grocery store today or any store on Friday.

EDIT: I hope you don't mind me posting in here while I wait for group authorization.

Post anywhere you want Greg, that is the beauty of FTE.
Happy Hump day FTE! I had all my shopping done on Sunday. And even then, they had already run out of pumpkin pies, so I ended up with a banana cream pie. (much better in my opinion.) Hope you are feeling better Donna. Can't be sick on the holiday.
