No second gear/movement over 10MPH
I have a 96 f250 7.3l with the e40d i have spent the last two months soaking up everything i can i find on the issue i am having. Heres how it went down bought the truck had it two weeks was driving it somebody cut me off while driving slammed on the breaks and the truck wont go over ten miles an hour now. First stop rear end because it felt like it was locking up all new shoes, drums, wheel cylinders, and lines. Brakes were fryed checked the vss in rear diff and still no luck. Tryed to pull codes no codes present but the check engine light isnt on either no o/d light flashing ect. Have learned through here that this could problem with the psom ect just looking for a starting point. i am on a very tight budget and need this vehicle back on the road. I just find it strange that one day everything is fine and the bam no second gear even if i manualy shift it to second. any help would be appreciated because all i can get out of the shops around me is tow it in and we will look at it for $100 an hour. I dont have any means to get the truck anywhere but were it is now so not to be rude but drive it to a trans shop ect is out of the question. thank you everyone in advance for any info/help. Josh.

Where is your rpm at when trying to drive it @ 10 MPH?
The only reason I asked about 4WD is if for some reason it got stuck in 4L then you could pull a house off its foundation, but you would do it going pretty slow. Of course the 4L light should come on in the dash though, unless it is burnt out. Try shifting it in and out of 4L, 4H and back to 2H just to be sure.
Just speculating here ... , also does the truck idle OK and rev up properly when in neutral?
