I talked with the guy for like an hour today. He sent some more pictures too. I have to work a 12 hr day tomorrow and 10 hour thursday... that way i can work 4 on friday and leave to drive the 15 hours to pick it up!!!
I feel bad for the guy tho... he bought it. put the money into it to fix the miss/trans and shocks etc to get it up to par.
Long story short his dad died 8 months ago.. mom decided to go into assisted living so she put house up for sale 4 months ago... an official contract was setup and they close like next week(hes been trying to sort out what to do the last few weeks)... and the worst part is he got divorced a month back and his truck/5er were sitting at his moms house so now he had to sell them....

Thats the short story.
Anyway. I leave at 12central Friday to go get her.
We agreed on 5800. It needs two front tires... he said he'd replace them both if i did 6300, but i have friends who had two good tires for less than $500.

And Ill have to think on what I'd be willing to let Gretchen go for... When I bought it I didnt think id ever get rid of it.. the plan was after graduation id just buy another CC truck... and keep that RC for play... and eventually restore it for my kid (dreams never turn out EXACTLY how you picture em).

I need to decide if I am transferring stuff from Gretchen over to avoid costs of getting gauges..chip...etc or if i want to cut my losses and start fresh now that I know more about these OBS.

ORRRR keep em both since they will both be fully paid off... lol

When is the RRE held?

 

Well last year it was like July 11-14 or something.. and i didnt have the funds.
So I vowed to go this year..
But there is a country concert my friends and I go to every year.. its mid july for 4 days. we buy campsites and tickets jan 1st.

It just so happened that RRE and Country Thunder fell on the same 4 days this year.
This past July it was July 19-22nd.
So im not buying tickets this next year for country thunder...so I can plan for RRE. IFFFFF I can go to both then I will.. but RRE is first priority next year.

 

Alex, this is just my opinion, but if my finacial situation allowed it, I'd keep them both. But like I said, that's just me.

Yeah.. the financial situation certainly allows it, but lets just say im the black sheep of family. We live in a subdivision and between my couple vehicles, her vehicle, my sisters vehicle (she didnt take it to college yet). the 2 car garage and our driveway is pretty well filled up. We do have a 3/4 acre, but live on a hill thing... so not much flat yard except the big field in the back.

I had a few projects back there over the years, but mom CONSTANTLY nagged to get rid of them saying we were the rednecks of the subdivision. I said "i dont give a dern what other people think" but she owns the place.

lol long story short. I could do it, but mom would be GREATLY displeased. and would probably start charging rent. lol My current rent is all the housework.
