PIC UPDATE

Sorry for the delay! Its been awhile. and its getting even slower with the holidays rollin around

But i do have some new news!

^ My buddy decided to throw...not place...throw a pallet in my truck. needless to say it hit the cab. I was P.I.S.S.E.D.

Gettin work done on the D60! I dont have any more pics, but its all stripped down and ready to be pressure washed and refinished. Gonna do my hw on it however......people tell me 35 splines will fit in a D60 HD ? others say they wont. Can anyone confirm or deny??

Other then this, i put on my blackout headlights and taillights and also some weather proof speakers underneath the toolbox...

Subscribe this thread, your gonna wanta lol

You need to get the spindles bored out for 35 spline shafts. Take it to someone with a jig setup for rear axles.

UPDATE

Slo progress since the holidays are coming near.

Took a two hour drive to vermont to go snowboarding on wednesday. Truck did good, only bad part was filling up twice, those hills getting there really killed me lol 150$ later! I begged my girlfriend for that 38 gallon tank LMC has for christmas lol

I put my truck up in the shop on friday also. Removed the front and rear sways. I feel absolutely no difference, infact it feels like a smoother ride!

------------------------------------------- AS for the D60 progress....

Thats kinda come to a hault. The whole axle is stripped from all its internals. I found a shop that will bore out the spindels so 35 splines will fit.

I have to keep up on my research tho, i need to do more homework on the correct diff for my truck and also figuring out how to put this axle under it to begin with.

I will keep it updated tho!

Thanks! and yes it does!

Well Christmas was a blow! I got 0 truck parts

Im still working out the kinks for the truck i bought. Its already paid for, just trying to figure out how to get it here. (doesnt run and needs to be towed. AAA wont tow it if it isnt registered and insured to me )

But i figure 800$ for a 90 F350 IDI with sterling 10.25 and D60 front isnt a bad deal at all!

I have to figure out what to do for lift options. I want BIG. Heres my thoughts-------

Rear
6" superlift leaf springs
2"block
2"body lift
4"rear shackle flip.

= 12-14" of lift?

Front
6" superlift leaf springs
2" body lift
and a buddy on here (Zachk) and hes done a front shackle flip so maybe he could help me out to get

=8-12" of lift?

Im just wondering if its possible to have superlift rear springs ontop of blocks?

What do you guys think?

I would imagine that you can put the block in. A 4x4 350 has a 4" rear block though, so you could use that. You'd also be better off putting more lift in the front than the back so it sits level. otherwise its going to look like a wedge going down the road.
If you plan on lifting it that high, check your local laws. In a lot of places, authorities like to pick on every big truck they see because such a little amount of people do any research before they lift their truck. If you plan on putting on big tires, find out the info on that too.
On another note, I'd also remove the body lift after putting in the suspension lift. I don't know how you feel about it, but the fact that the bumper doesn't line up where it should is quite ugly if you ask me, especially on a pretty clean truck like that.

Oh yeah i totally agree. I hated the body lift and bumper gaps. Im kinda a custom to it now. I think when im doing all this work, ill take out the awful 3" and go like a 1.5 or 2".

Just sucks how little front lift options there are. ive only seen a couple of people do the front shackle flip, but besides the body lift and 6" lift leafs theres nothing else, were as the rear has blocks etc.

And nah, the 5-0 are mostly after rice burners around here. theres alota hondas and intergras round this area. and if one does pull me over the good ole' badge gets me outa most

FYI, the rear D60 is a POS.

Just go with a Sterling 10.25. They can take ANYTHING a small block can throw at it

Decided to give her a detailed wash, and get all the salt off her mmmm sexxxayy

Also blacked out the cab lights to match the rest of the truck. Used "nite shades" its in a spray can.

It actually turned out well, it did little to no effect on the visability of the lights because they are LED :WINNING:
