Front leaf springs

Has anyone used replacement front leafs from struck springs.com? I am just wondering how they were to deal with and wether their product is of good quality, and will hold its height?

Springs are pretty much springs, just get the right ones.

I just got my X codes for my excursion at the dealer. It might be cheaper using the dealer depending on how much shipping costs

Heavier than the V codes. For plowing etc.

if you looking for a small lift i would def recommend these 22210 - Auto Parts Warehouse

They flex WAY better then stock and ride WAY better and are so quiet ...here are a few pics of them...alone with a 5 in block in the rear

HATE this pic

Because there is always a trade off. Springs don't "flex way better than stock" or "ride way better" unless they are just weaker, also I never had a noisy leaf spring but I guess it is possible. Not trying to argue but that just makes no sense to me.

My stock springs squeaked...badly..also these new springs take a bump ALOT smoother..also. when going offroad with the old springs..i could hear the cab flexing...with the new springs it does not because the springs flex instead.

They can squeak sometimes but it's no reason to run out and buy new springs. You can correct it anyway.

That's just not true unless they are just weaker springs...not buying it.

They normally are de-arched as are many of the newer leaf springs from the factory. Just an idea some engineer had. My front springs are de-arched and almost never bottom out.

EX springs are ALWAYS frowny faced from the factory, Super Duty springs are SUPPOSE to be smiley but Ford puts the weakest springs ever on their HD trucks and the sag within a year and cause harsh rides, banging, squeaking, etc. I installed my 22210 springs almost thre years ago and like hotpocket said the 22210 ride smoother, flex better, dont squeak so far. And yes the 22210 springs are just as think as x codes but theires five of them not two and they still are 100 times better then ANY OEM front spring from Ford, PERIOD.
