Question Turbo ID and Help

hey guys....
i bought(very cheap) a turbo supposedly from a 2000 7.3. but when it came, its obviously not for a 7.3. i have been looking on the net and found it was from a T444E international. i thought the 7.3 and T444E were the same.

does anyone know if they are interchangeable? also, would there be any benefit to having a T444E charger on a 7.3 powerstroke? im sure there will have to be some fab work involved, but if it is worth it(power wise) id do it.

the turbo looks similar to a 6.0 turbo, but it has some differences.
here are some pics...im not a turbo expert like some of you. also, i CANNOT find any garrett part numbers. any help would be appreciated...

I find that inlet very interesting. Is it just me, or does that turbine housing look small? The photo below has stock on the left and a 38R on the right. The turbo looks like it should fit... if it wasn't completely backwards, but it's hard to tell scale from a photo.
