My Version Of The CCV Air Can
Having this close to the front do I need to worry about low spots in the hose on the way to the back of the truck? I want to run the hose all the way to the bumper.
Elbow down pipe inside the 3" pipe.
Copper scrubber and stainless cage to keep the scrubber up.

So far it is working good. Im going to add a drain later to the cap. For the cost im thinking around $50. But I had to by 10' of the 3" pipe. The stainless steel thing I called a cage is a thing people use to cook fish on the bbq grill. It was in the bbq section at walmart a few years back. I just cut it and rolled it. The copper scrubber you have to unroll it like a sock a little to open up the center to slide over the pipe.

On the 7.3 The oil vapor stays in the intercooler pipes, turbo etc.. creating a fine mist of oil that coats everything under the hood. The ccv mod gives the Crank Case Vapors to evaporate into the air. The point is some people believe the oil vapor will turn into oil drips then will pool in the intercooler.

Update:
I still haven't put a drain on the cap. I opened it up today because I noticed oil drip on the cap. It was getting by the threads. Trying teflon tape this time. Also the end of the hose that is venting to the air is dry inside. No oil residue.
This is what I caught since installing it.
