Call me what you like, however, I need to know....What does "wrong bed" mean ??? Everyone uses the terminology but I can't figure it out. I think I was absent that day. !!!
Thast would be the bed that was on the late 50's trucks, the styleside bed. They were used on the the F250 4x4 trucks up to 66. After the unicab trucks; Ford used them.
The carryover styleside bed from the 57 thru 60 pickup era, was Fords quick and ecomomical answer to make up for the short comings and customer resistance to the unibody design. When Ford used this carryover 57-60 style bed on certain model 61-66 pickups, people began refer to them as " wrong beds", because the obvious mismatch of body lines, however, they are perfectly correct on certain 61-66 pickups.
