Got myself a scanguage today
Having my laptop sitting on the center console and hooked up with my AutoEnginuity was a bit inconvenient for casual monitoring purposes. So I got myself a Scangauge2 to play around.
Seems pretty good and compact, and the font size is just fine to read without needing my specs. (the sad part of 'growing up')
Entering the codes for the XGauge thing was a pain. Are there any other sources for 6.4L XGauges beyond those listed in their website?
I'd like to get the DPF pressure sensor PID.
So I'm curious to see where yall have decided where's the best place to mount it.
Any tips/secrets on what else we can do with it?

I haven't found any other sources for PIDs / Xgauge settings. I like the SGII, nice unit at a reasonable price. The side and back ports and ability to daisy chain more than one is nice as well if you want live monitoring for more than four parameters.
For the SGIII I think they should put a USB port on it so you can do config from your PC and give some data logging capability since flash memory is so cheap. Alternatively just a microSD slot would do to transfer setting or logs.
My install:
Very easy cable routing by popping off the vent panel, and being left handed a very convenient spot.

Do you guys have issues with the adhesive on the velcro leaving any goo marks, especially if it gets hot from summer heat?
Yeah, being able to update stuff including firmware ourselves over USB would have been nice. Ironically, a lot of these microcontrollers have all of that built-in these days.
