Exhaust Route

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this site and in the past week alone I have learned more stuff about my truck than I have since I had my truck as a teenager, you guys are awesome!
I have a 77 F150 4x4 4speed 351m and it needs some work. I need to replace the clutch and syncros in the trans, and I have a broken exhaust pipe. And since I'll have the exhaust off while I'm doing the clutch and trans I'll fix that as well. But my problem is I don't like my current exhaust route configuration, the pipes coming off the headers drop underneath my transfer case. They are too close to the ground, and it looks terrible. I want them hidden. And my headers come out at the same level as the crossbar for the trans.
Any ideas? Pics of your current setup would be helpful too.
I would post a pic but I guess I'm too new.

(73 4x4) I routed both collector tubes to the passenger side and then went up and over the crossmember:

Collector tubes:

Up and over;

The back half with a mock-up cardboard exhaust tip

You're welcome. Those are 2.5-inch tubes and Moroso Spiral Flow mufflers.... Btw, Speedway Motors sells a mandrel bent kit (U-fit) for around $140..

If your exhaust guy is good, he can snake that Dr. side pipe up over the crossmember and around the transfer case no problem. This is what I had on my '78 with a 400, headers and 2-1/2" duals.

Yep....

The cardboard mock-up, a poster board prototype, and the finished product:

I am pretty sure he bought mandrel bends, cut them to fit and then did his own welding.

I agree, it came out awesome.

I wanted to order one of those kits, but they want over $200 to ship it to me.
