Well , lets start with this being my second ford rebuild. My first was my 69 F100. This one is a 78 F250 Supercab with a flareside bed...yep flareside on a supercab in 1978. It has the 400 and C6 tranny in it. Truck was not in bad shape but I have already started the dismantling as the truck will be going off to the body shop/paintshop. I have a friend that owes me some business. I have big plans for this rig and a tiny wallet so progress might be slow. I posted this same album in my previous post, but have moved it here to keep everything tidy.

Update

I have cleaned most of the rotted wood out of the bed and have went through 2 grinder wheels and 3 saw-zal blades to get the old bolts out.

I have removed what was left of the trim, I will not be re-installing the trim package as I am not a fan of trim.

Removed all windows except the rear.

Removed the front bumper, head lights, grille and the broken grill insert.

I started to move to the interior and got the passenger door panel off, when the texas heat got to be to much. I will take pictures and update my photobucket account hopefully this weekend.

Next up is to finish the interior tear down.... O what surprises await.

If that trim is in good shape and you aren't going to use it, I'd like to get in line for it. I'm needing a couple of pieces for a Supercab.

It only had trim on one side and it was dismal at best, I will check and see if anything is salvageable when I get home. Which pieces are you needing?

I need the piece under the left opera window the most. The rest of mine isn't in too bad of shape, but that one is mangled. Thanks.

Good luck with the build, by the way. That's a fairly unique piece you have there. I don't think I've ever seen any Supercabs that had a flareside on them. Usually people replace their bed with another Styleside or a flatbed. I usually don't care for the '80s beds on Dentsides, but that one looks pretty darned good on there.

Take a look a picture 13-15 in the album. I think that is the trim piece you need. If it is it is the only pieces that were not damaged.

For all others I have uploaded more pictures to the album. I have to use this method until I can post attachments here. Enjoy

I apologize for the absence. I have had to work alot, and with 7 kids time is rare. At the moment I am trying to decide whether to replace the doors and passenger fender or try to repair them. Take a look in my gallery and off advice/opinions please.
