Piece if dirt got past the fuel filter, and is holding the needle in the carb open. If you have the stock filter, a lot of them have a spring inside, so when the filter gets clogged, the fuel pressure pushes the spring back and lets the carb still get fuel. Of course this also lets dirt into the carb.
If you jacked the truck up and somehow sloshed the fuel around in the fuel tank, this can also stir up dirt and rust flakes, and they can get sent up the line into the fuel system.
