A bit more detective work (I gotta get a LIFE!) and found the truck on Craigslist.

1989 Ford F-150 XLT Lariet

Still have no idea if the pics are hijacked or this kid actually bought the truck. Too bad forhim no one would believe a word he writes now!

 

Not a bad looking truck, but no way worth 7,000

 

I thought he traded someone else's Subaru for it! It didn't cost HIM at thing! Plus he got $250 and a full tank to boot!

It'd be funny (if it weren't close to stalking) to call the Craigslist ad and asked if he traded it for a Subaru plus $250 or not or was it still for sale! Just for kicks! Or to save the REAL owner from getting shafted!

 

This truck is mine. I am STILL the owner and built it myself. The kid did come look at my truck, but no titles were exchaged. Seeing his little hack job profile of MY truck cements the fact that there is no deal.

As for the value its worth atleast $9000 with the work into it and the fact that its an all original body with NO ROT OR RUST The motor work alone cost me $2000. If you looked at the most recent cl post I dropped the asking price completely and went more for trade.

So did the kid offer a vehicle to trade? If so what was it?

 

I don't want to speak for the owner but I believe it was the white one in the pics. The BEFORE... not the AFTER!

 

He offered the white impreza l wagon. The only mods i could see were lights, wheels and suspension.

 

Just caught where he paid 1000 doll hairs for the white car. Kids with too much time on their hands, I suppose. Maybe his parents will find out and take away his computer for a few days.

 

He seemed like a nice kid when we met. He's got to be my age so I thought it was just a kid who wanted to live out his offroad dreams. Atleast the pics of my truck are real haha

 

I hate liers... I also noticed the plates right away. I wonder who did he take us for?.
