Hi all, I have my FX4 2007 Whipple supercharger and I'm having problems with the oil temperature in the transmission, when I go wot, the temperature rises very quickly to the 235-240 º F, and I must slow down and move around 60 mph to come down to 200 º F, but is very slow, I'm thinking of placing a 6.0 cooler trans of 26 rods as those used powerstroke, these are immense, but I worry that the connections are 1/2 "and we have, I think 5/16 "or 3/8", and may have a pressure drop of oil very large. do you think?. Where I live there is no winter, right now the temperatures in the day are 108 ° F and the night 80 º F.

 

I have never done it on one of our trucks but I have put oversized trans coolers on chevy trucks used for mudding. I have never experienced any kind of low pressure issues. The pumps in most transmissions and push as much fluid as you can throw at them.

 

I don't think you will have a problem at all. The cooler will hold more fluid is all.
