Question Good Machine Shop

Hey all,

I'm in the Grand Rapids area and am in need of a good, reputable machine shop. I'm looking for recommendations from those who have personally dealt with any shops. It would be nice to find one shop that I can deal with throughout my entire engine build. Thanks a bunch.

What type of build are you doing? If you just want machine work done, Stamm Equipment co in Wayland does good work.

If it is a performance build, I would suggest using a guy in Byron Center that is doing some heads for me right now. He has been building race engines for a long time and really knows his stuff.

He owns a machine shop and builds these engines on the side, so it does take a little longer, but he is a wealth of information and can build an engine that will scare you.

If you want the number for the Byron Center guy send me an e mail and I will hook you up. Stamm Equipment co is in the phone book.

Good Machine Shop

There a very good shop in Ionia its called Felice automotive. Ken is the dad and Chris is the son they love fords, which is very tough to find in this part of the state. They did two motors for me, which worked really well. They have also done several others for friends. Give them a call at (616)527-9220

Good Machine Shop

I am mostly looking for a shop that I can take my heads and block into for machining. I plan on actually building the motor myself as far as assembly, but need a reputable machine shop for the work on my heads and block (boring, hone, deck, possibly new seats). I am on the north side of GR, but wouldn't mind the drive if I knew that I was going to get quality service that I can trust. Thanks again for the input.
